Why a timed sample test should precede every filler purchase order

Viscosity changes with temperature. Particle size distributions vary batch to batch. Foaming, stringing and dripping appear only when your actual product runs through the actual nozzle. This is why specification sheets alone cannot predict line performance.

A credible trial protocol runs your product in your container, at your target dose, for a measured duration, and records dose accuracy, particulate integrity, nozzle behaviour and cleaning observations. The output is a signed technical confirmation that becomes part of the purchase contract.

When a catalogue prints a single universal speed number for every sauce, it usually describes the machine’s theoretical maximum, not your application. Suppliers who mark filling range and speed as pending technical confirmation pending the trial are typically easier to hold accountable than suppliers who promise everything upfront.

Ask for a sample-return option: your tested product and containers, a video of the run, and the recorded recipe parameters. That package de-risks factory acceptance and shortens commissioning.
